Supplied to you in the original wooden craftsman’s box. The box is a work of art in itself. The lid is crafted to slide and close. Tiny wooden dowl plugs are used instead of nails. The joinery is fine and detailed and reflects the pride of the artist in this unique and beautiful piece.

350 years have passed since Saijiro Goto first fired Kutani-yaki pottery in the Kutani village of Kaga (current Ishikawa prefecture) in the early Edo period (17th century). Kutani-yaki is a traditional craft characterised by vivid designs and the use of five distinctive colours that has been enjoyed by people from across the world.
